Naughty & Nice

Theme:  Letter N
We had a fun time pulling "N" objects out of "Ned's" Head.  We focused on nose, noodles, needle, numbers, net, necklace, nail, no, & nice.  We talked about what smells nice (flowers, perfume, candy...)  and what we'd rather not smell (dirty diapers, burnt toast, burnt popcorn).

Choosing Time:  Numbers & Nuts, Number Puzzles, Number Cubes, Nurse, Noodles

• Made our Number Books--Please have your kiddos "read"/count their books to you.  This will reinforce matching a number to an amount.

Science:  What is Magnetic?  Everyone had a turn to dig in a bin of beans for several objects.  Each object was tested to see if it would stick to the magnet or not.  We then recorded our findings.

Light, Love, & Laughter

Theme:  Letter L
Although la, la, la is fun to sing, it is not the correct sound for letter L.  We practiced the correct sound and made the sign for L.  Our focus words included lion, lamb, leg, love, lips, ladybug, line, light, laugh, lemon, & lime.

Choosing Time:  Light Box Tracing, Light Brite, Legos, Lacing Cards,...
