Oh!

Theme:  Letter O
We took turns "fishing" for O's.  Some of our target words included on, over, ocean, & octopus.
Letter O has two sounds.  We had a lot of fun making both sounds.  We identified different O shaped objects.  We observed that a circle and a zero are O-shaped.

Choosing Time:  Ocean Puzzles, Ocean creatures, Shells, Octagon builders, Linking Shapes, Ocean finger puppets,...

Science:  We learned some interesting facts about Octopi. Did you know that they can change colors?  Or that if they lose an arm they will grow it back?  Octopi can squirt black ink at predators.  They are good swimmers.  Each of their 8 arms have suckers on the bottom.  "Octopuses" is another acceptable plural of octopus.
